The process

How to sell
your bankruptcy claim.

Sell the agreed rights to your claim for a purchase price, instead of waiting for future bankruptcy distributions. Here’s how it works with Wychwood.

  1. Tell us about your claim

Share the company that owes you money, your creditor name, and the approximate amount owed. An inquiry does not commit you to a sale.

  2. Review your offer

We review the claim and supporting records. If we make an offer, we explain the purchase price, payment terms, and closing conditions. You decide whether to proceed.

  3. Sign and get paid

Sign the agreed documents, confirm payment instructions, and complete the closing requirements. Wychwood pays within 48 hours of closing.

  4. We file the transfer

After payment is complete, we file the claim transfer with the court. Once we verify it appears on the docket, we send you a court-stamped copy for your records.

Getting started

Start with what you have.

A claim number, proof of claim, or invoices can help us review your claim. You can contact us before gathering everything—we’ll explain which records are needed.

The purchase agreement sets out the rights sold, closing conditions, and any continuing obligations.
